The ultrasound appointment was scheduled for the morning after the Winchester Ward trunk or treat. Oooh, the anticipation.
Ward Trunk or Treat costumes:
Mom and Dad just couldn't wait until morning to find out baby's gender -- so, they consulted the all knowing pie. Before the Trunk or Treat, Mama baked a half pink, half blue key lime pie (Dad's favorite).
Then she covered it with whip cream. Dad cut the first slice and everyone waited with anticipation: blue for boy, pink for girl. His first slice was... blue!
The all-knowing pie said boy.
Mom and Dad next consulted their friends and family through an online poll. All of our loved ones logged in to cast their votes...The poll results were: 56% boy to 44% girl. Time to consult science.

After the great revelation, a celebration lunch with a bunch of Dad's fellow PA students was in order.
